No inferior split grain leathers or vinyls are ever used. And all of our furniture is made to order in your choice of style, frame, leather grade and color. Each piece is built to the customer's requirements and shipped in 2-3 weeks. Although we have grown considerably, we still produce each piece, one at a time, to the exact specifications of you, the customer. A Smaller Carbon Footprint At American Leather, all of our products are manufactured in Dallas, Texas, and shipped anywhere in the country within three to four weeks. Since none of our products travel across an ocean, they can arrive faster -- and with a smaller carbon footprint -- than you ever imagined. American Leather is at home in the environment COMPONENTS FRAMES - We Work hard to utilize the most modern materials including hardwoods from new growth trees. FOAM - To help prevent ozone layer damage, we use high- density and high-resiliency foam that's free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). GLUE - We use water-based glue that doesn't contain or release volatile organic compounds (VOCs). WOOD - Every year, we recycle over two million pounds of left-over wood instead of sending to a landfill. COVERINGS WATER - Modern tanneries use closed-water systems and private water treatment plants to prevent the pollution of surrounding water supplies. LEATHER - Our leather scraps are recycled and re-sold for the production of small leather goods. PROCESSING ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - Our HVAC and lighting systems are controlled through a proactive energy conservation network.
