Hayco's origins date back over four generations to when William Hay established the SA Brush Company in South Australia in 1893. Later under the management of son, F. Dean Hay the company evolved into SABCO, and firmly established itself as a household name in cleaning products in Australia, United Kingdom, Europe, Japan, South Africa and USA. But it was the founder's grandson, who had the vision and foresight to create an international company that is today one of the world's leading manufacturers of state-of-the-art household cleaning and personal care products. After 22 years of international experience and appreciating first hand the growth potential of Asia as a manufacturing base, Donald Hay left the family business in 1983 to establish his own, independent company - Hayco Manufacturing Ltd - based in Hong Kong and manufacturing in China. The company was a pioneer in establishing modern manufacturing and quality production standards in Southern China. With the acquisition of Forson Precision (HK) Ltd, an industry leader in precision mold making and injection molding, Hayco offers customers a vertically integrated, one stop design and manufacturing service that offers time and cost saving solutions. Today, Hayco has 7,000 employees and occupies four factory sites in Shenzen with a total floor area of 1.5 million sq.ft (140,000m2). The company manufactures more than 400 products per month, 120 million units per year and ships over 6,000 TEU containers to more than 30 countries annually. Hayco has a proven track record of innovation and quality manufacturing: many of our latest products utilize electric, electronic or liquid delivery designs developed in-house. The company is renowned for working closely with customers throughout the entire manufacturing process from creative design concepts and development, through each production stage to on-time delivery. The Hay family involvement continues today: joining Chief Executive, Donald Hay and his experienced international management team - many of whom have been with the company since it was established - is son Christopher Hay, who spent two years as production manager at the Hayco factories in China and is now the Company's VP for Marketing responsible for expanding Hayco's product line from household cleaning products and brushes, to electrical equipment including electric toothbrushes and floor cleaners. Hayco's success is demonstrated by its growing customer portfolio which includes: Procter & Gamble, 3M, Church & Dwight, Kaercher, Clorox, Rubbermaid, Bissell, Wal-Mart, ASDA, K-Mart and Lowe's.

SLATEVision was founded in 1997. The factory is situated some 150 kilometres (100 miles) west of Johannesburg, South Africa, in the heartland of the South African slate industry. This area is rich in minerals, with the largest deposits of Platinum worldwide originating in the nearby Rustenburg basin. SLATEVision is supplied with multicoloured "Autumn Slate" from its own nearby quarries. Autumn Slate Quarries", a trademark name, is known for its rich, strong, autumn-hue coloured slate. With its contrasting browns, reds and yellows, the slate has a smooth surface texture with clean cutting lines. SLATEVision's factory has a floor area of about 6 000 m2 (60 000sqft) and incorporates stone-cutting, wood and steel works. SLATEVision employs approximately 160 people. Drawn from surrounding villages in a largely agricultural area with high unemployment rate, all employees are trained on the job. Over the years, they have honed their skills in their respective trades. A further 140 quarry workers mine slate at Autumn Slate Quarries, adding up to a total of 300 people currently engaged in the manufacture of Slate Tables at SLATEVision MARKETS SLATEVision has to date exported well over 200 000 tables, primarily to the USA and Canada. Customers range from "single-store-owners", buying one 20 foot container per year to "multi-store-owners", buying 40 foot containers on a monthly basis. SLATEVision also supply Importers and Distributors on a regular basis, who in turn distribute the Slate Tables countrywide. Apart from the main USA and Canada markets, SLATEVision also sell to Importers in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan. IMS slr, manufacturers of chairs and tables in Italy, also import the Slate Tables. From Italy they are warehoused and distributed worldwide, together with IMS's products. In Southern Africa, SLATEVision's Tables are distributed through "The Slate Centre", located in Randburg, Johannesburg. SLATEVision DOES NOT SELL DIRECTLY TO THE PUBLIC BUT ONLY TO RETAILERS, IMPORTERS AND DISTRIBUTORS.
