World trade fell 0.2% on a year earlier when measured by volume of global exports, according to Panjiva calculations based on CPB data. This was only the second drop since November 2009. It was led by a 7% contraction in Latin America, reversing 4% growth the month before. There may be some respite in November as exports by China, South Korea and (importantly) Brazil all expanded on a year earlier.
