BRF wants more China export licenses but the Middle East is a bigger challenge

BRF may be losing market share in China due to a lack of meat shipping permits from the Chinese government. IR director Luiz Tavares has noted U.S. suppliers received permits for 1,000 plants in the past two years but Brazilian suppliers received none. U.S. exports of meat to China climbed 62.0% year over year in the 12 months to April 30, in part due to the phase 1 trade deal between the two countries, while those from Brazil climbed by a still considerable 33.8%.
