Bunge, Vale face slide Brazilian commodity exports to China due to COVID-19

Brazilian commodity exports are set to slide as a result of reduced Chinese demand due to COVID-19 coronavirus related disruptions. The loss of sales comes at a bad time for the Brazilian economy with total exports having fallen by 20.2% year over year in January. Brazilian soybean exports to China, including those by Bunge and Louis Dreyfus, already fell by 24.9% year over year in Q4 as a result of increased purchasing by China from the U.S. ahead of the phase 1 trade deal.
