China Furnishes Savannah With An Opportunity To Avoid A Tariff Downturn, For Now

Container handling by the Georgia Ports Authority climbed 10% on a year earlier in June. That was the 20th straight increase and was the result of a 14% surge in imports to its ports, including Savannah, from 4% a month earlier. A rebound in shipments from China was the main factor with a 24% rise up from 9% in the prior three months.
