Japanese auto exports may be entering a cyclical decline after shipments by the big seven manufacturers fell 5.1% in October. That was the second decline in a row, the first time that has happened in three years. Mazda fell the most, and saw a 20% downturn. Its woes potentially multiplying after announcing two recalls. U.S.-bound exports have been a big part of the problem. Seaborne shipments fell 18% in October, continuing a nine month run of declines.
