Ericsson is experiencing a boom in business installing 5G telecoms networks in the U.S. as a result of the Trump administration’s action to limit Huawei’s activities. U.S. imports of 5G network equipment have yet to take off versus prior periods of spending though. Imports in the 12 months to April 30 were $444 million versus a prior peak of $1.15 billion in 2010 for the 4G/LTE roll out.
