Electrical component maker Hubbell Inc reported Q1’21 revenues which dipped 1.1% year over year. The firm’s supply chain activity nonetheless picked up with U.S. seaborne imports linked to Hubbell rising by 38.5% year over year in Q1’21. That came even as the firm faced “a tight supply chain environment” according to CEO Gerben Bakker. It also followed price increases due to “inflationary pressure that have continued to accelerate” throughout Q1’21.
