The Philippines’ international trade fell 3% on a year earlier in March after a 10% growth in February. That marked the worst performance since September 2015 due to the third straight decline in exports. While semiconductor shipments (59% of the total) expanded by 3% there were declines in both heavy machinery and commodities. That exposure to semiconductors may become a problem in the context of worsening U.S.-China trade relations.
