Tax Changes Needed for Indian Apparel Exports to Be Dressed for Success

The Indian Apparel Export Promotion Council have warned the government that exports may decline if the general sales tax (GST) system is not improved. They want to see quicker tax deductions for inputs, where costs are rising rapidly. That could result in Indian exports becoming less competitive. Yet, export growth still appears to be robust.
