A defining feature of 2017 has been the implementation of sanctions against North Korea. The United Nations will likely approve additional sanctions with a further cut in oil exports to the DPRK as well as cuts to food and mechanical equipment. The most recent sanctions enacted by China were aimed at North Korea’s exports of apparel.
