A series of strikes in France have put pressure on port activities through Le Havre, including those operated by Maersk while Hapag-Lloyd has suspended bookings through the port. Panjiva’s data, retrieved via XpressFeed, shows Maersk has already suffered a drop in traffic from Le Havre to the U.S. with a 41.2% year over year decline in 4Q. Companies that may be affected include Williams Sonoma which relied on Maersk for all its Le Havre to U.S. shipments in 2019. That was followed auto-parts manufacturer Faurecia with a 56.3% reliance and Ikea at 39.7%.
