The Port of Savannah experienced a 5% growth in volumes handled on a year earlier in August. Panjiva data shows this was down to a 64% growth in European imports, led by auto-parts. It was helped by a 21% increase in the volume of empty containers imported, which bodes well for growth in exports from the region.
