China may be leading multilateral trade deals in the Asia-Pacific region, but bilateral deals such as that being discussed between the Philippines and Chile are also underway. Panjiva data shows the Philippines accounts for just 0.13% of Chilean exports, and 0.09% of its imports currently. Chile may look to increase its exports of copper anodes and woodpulp, while looking to ensure protection for its exports of paper, fish and fruit.
