Freight forwarder Deutsche Post reported 4Q revenues that improved by 5% vs. a year earlier, but were 2% below expectations. As a result it was the only forwarder to miss estimates for revenues, with the sector doing 2% better on average. Yet, the company delivered better-than-expected profitability, with its EBITDA margin rising to 9.8% from 9.6% a year earlier. That was also well above the 9.3% that analysts anticipated.
