A net 24% of British managers surveyed by the CBI expect export orders to expand in the coming quarter. That’s the highest since April 2010 and follows the fastest expansion in U.K. exports in February since May 2011, Panjiva analysis shows. Yet, the survey will have been completed before the snap election was announced and a hardened EU Brexit negotiating stance emerged. A post-Brexit trade deal, and therefore a definitive outlook for exports, will likely only arrive in 2018.
