Brazilian automotive exports hit a new record in March after rising 65% on a year earlier, industry association data shows. Unlike the previous month when the exports reflected weak domestic sales, in March sales also increased for the first time since December 2014. Panjiva data shows Argentina was the largest export market in the 12 months to February 28, led by production from Renault and Peugeot Citroen. Elsewhere Volkswagen ships mostly to Mexico while Daimler sends two-thirds of its production in Brazil to markets in the Middle East.
