Brazil’s auto exports reached their highest since July 2007 in February after climbing 8% on a year earlier, according to industry figures. That compares to Mexico’s 10% growth, but has been driven by weak local sales rather than just overseas shipment success. Panjiva data shows Volkswagen is the largest exporter, led by shipments to Mexico. It also exports from Mexico to the U.S. Number two in Brazil is Daimler’s Mercedes Benz with shipments to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, followed by Renault’s sales to Argentina.
