Cargill shows how U.S. may keep losing China soybean share during 2020

Brazilian agricultural exports to China could grow in 2020 despite competition with U.S. sources as “Brazil’s soybeans are very competitive” according to Cargill’s regional head Paulo Sousa. Shipments to China represented 69.5% of Brazilian soybean exports in the 12 months to March 31 and have experienced a 43.2% surge in Q1. That meant that total Brazilian exports of soybeans at the start of the peak shipping season to a 22.1% rise.
