ITC Sees Major Gain in Trade with TPP Partners, Eventually

The International Trade Commission report on the potential impacts of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal received headlines highlighting the relatively low level of total benefits for U.S. trade. Overall U.S. exports are expected to increase 1.1% and imports 1.0% by 2032. Yet, trade with the specific TPP countries the gains are much higher at 5.6%
