Japan’s international trade boom continued for a 12th month in November with a 17% rise in imports and exports. The growth in exports of 16% included an all-time record level of exports to China, and was better than expected by economists. The fastest growing major sector was heavy machinery with a 23% surge. Most other export lines did well except transportation, which rose just 7% after a 24% slump in shipbuilding.
