Pernod Ricard’s Jameson’s Takes a Proper Beating From Conor McGregor’s No. 12

Martial arts celebrity Conor McGregor’s new Irish whiskey brand, “Proper No. Twelve” has achieved considerable success in the U.S. market. U.S. seaborne imports of the product – handled by JC Master Distribution – reached 126 TEUs in April. It took market share from Pernod Ricard’s Jameson’s brand which saw a 28.3% year over year drop in April. Pernod’s Irish Distillers still has a 67.6% share Irish whiskey brands imported to the U.S. in the 12 months to Apr. 30, with other brands ensuring its shipments overall rose 5.4% in April.
