Skechers Sales Disappoint After Slower Import Growth Picture

Shoemaker Skechers reported third quarter sales growth of 10% vs. analyst expectations of 11.5%, with the stock falling 12% in response. Wholesale U.S. shipments increased just 0.6%. Panjiva data shows U.S. imports of the firm’s products increased 1.6% in the third quarter, the slowest since 2012. Under Armour reports on October 25 – analysts expect global sales growth of 21%, yet U.S. imports dropped 19% in the third quarter.
