Prime Minister Trudeau’s visit to China from December 3 will include discussions about trade, but may not include the start of formal free trade deal negotiations. There doesn’t appear to be any urgency to do so. Trade between the two countries has climbed 9% in the past 12 months on a year earlier, following three years of decline.
