First Scene of Last Play for USTR as WTO Acts on Materials Complaint

The USTR, in what might be one of its last major actions, has been successful in having the WTO set up a panel to look at Chinese export restrictions on 11 raw materials. Implementation of the complaint will be complicated by President-Elect Trump’s commitment to restructure trade policy execution. Trade trends support the complaint.
