Hanjin Shipping’s restructuring continues, with the company’s nine 13,100 TEU containerships being chartered to Maersk and, according to the Wall Street Journal, MSC. This still leaves 32 owned and 46 chartered-in vessels to be dealt with. Panjiva data shows the nine largest vessels were rarely used on U.S.-bound routes, suggesting Maersk and MSC are interested in Asia-Europe and intra-Asia routes.
