The meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump brought a commitment to a “comprehensive review” of trade relations between India and the U.S., but not a detailed development plan in the style of U.S. deals with China and Japan. There were also calls for “creative ways” to increase bilateral trade. Announcements were focussed on private deals in aerospace, military supplies and LNG. India already has three big LNG contracts with U.S. suppliers to come online in 2017 and 2018. These include projects by Cheniere, Dominion and Cameron LNG that were announced in 2015 and earlier....
