The U.S. International Trade Commission received six new trade infraction complaints in April, including two new antidumping cases relating to ceramic tiles and dried cherries. There may be a pause in antidumping petitions while U.S.-China trade talks are finalized. China products are still being targeted though, with the ceramic tile case citing dumping rates on shipments from China of up to 428.5%. Even if the petitioners are successful they may not see an uptick in U.S. production. Only 10.6% of seaborne imports of tiles came from China in the 12 months to Mar. 31.
