Baosteel bucks the coronavirus trend with surging U.S.-bound shipments

Chinese steel exports may surge in March and April in response to a coronavirus-linked drop in demand for the products in China, S&P Global Platts reports. Chinese steel and aluminum exports dropped 28.6% and 22.7% year over year respectively in January and February combined in dollar terms as both production and logistics were disrupted.
