GoPro’s recall of 2,500 Karma drones comes just ahead of the holiday buying season. Panjiva data shows that imports of all drones and quadcopters to the United States jumped 2.5-fold in October on a year earlier. Retailer Toys’R’Us accounted for 59% of all imports in October. In the meantime seaborne imports of GoPro related products fell 47% in October, similar to the 45% drop experienced in the third quarter.
