Global coffee exports fell 2% in October after poor weather and increased domestic consumption cut Indonesian exports by 44%, according to ICO data. Brazil’s exports also dropped 9%, likely driving the 9% rise in coffee prices in the month. This in turn fed into a 19% slump in U.S. coffee imports, Panjiva data shows. The situation may have reversed in November. Provisional data shows U.S. imports increased 20%, beating tea which experienced a 21% drop as prices remain high.
