The U.S. ITC has received a petition to investigate exports of forged steel pipe fittings from China, India and Taiwan. The case is notable in coming after the Trump administration confirmed that action on the section 232 review of the steel industry more broadly will be delayed until tax reform is completed. Imports of the products concerned were worth $304 million in the 12 months to August 31, up 16% from a year earlier.
