HP’s PCs are OK as Sales Surprise, Imports Rise

Earnings 759 Info Tech - Tech Hardware 862 U.S. 5399

Electronics manufacturer HP Inc reported quarterly revenues that climbed 10% on a year earlier, and were 6% better than analysts expected. Strength in computing was the main driver, with a 12% increase in revenues. Panjiva data shows U.S. imports of PCs climbed 15% on a year earlier. The printer business meanwhile saw a marked setback, which may reflect a mixture of an increased importance of ink sales as well as supply chain shifts. The character of the printer business will change again when the Samsung Electronics acquisition is completed.
