The Port of Long Beach reported July traffic that in aggregate was down 7.7%, including a 15.9% drop in empty containers processed. The main culprit though was a 5.9% drop in imports, which Panjiva data shows was the result of a 6.5% drop in shipments from China and Hong Kong. This is a marked contrast
