Mexican Motors Maintain Momentum in September

Cons. Discr. - Autos 1246 Mexico 928 U.S. 5398

Exports of autos and trucks from Mexico increased for a second month in September, with a 12% increase on a year earlier suggesting a prolonged downturn is over. Ford was the largest exporter in August, and may expand further as it moves small vehicle production from the U.S. to Mexico. Mexican exporters may be gaining share in the U.S. – total vehicle imports by the U.S. fell 5% on a year earlier in September.
