Nintendo Imports Switched On

U.S. videogame imports jumped 31% in March on a year earlier, the first growth since December 2015 and bringing first quarter shipments to a 0.4% increase. That was largely due to the launch of the Nintendo Switch. Imports related to Nintendo increased 592% in March, or 84% for the first quarter overall as North American sales reached more than 900,000 consoles. That took a toll on Nintendo’s competitors.
