Tiremaker Michelin will develop a new distribution center to improve the operations of its factories around the Port of Charleston. Panjiva data shows Michelin’s imports via the port have increased 23% in the 12 months to August 31 vs. the same period two years earlier. This makes it the second largest user of the port overall.
