Port facilities in LA and Long Beach are reportedly struggling to deal with congestion resulting from a flood of shipping from China. Shipments to the ports from China climbed 35.5% year over year in September to reach a record high. Freight forwarders that have seen the fastest rate of growth may also be the ones that face the biggest challenges, though all the top 40 forwarders experienced expanding volumes.
