Soybean prices in Brazil reached a two month high after the Carnival holiday, likely leading to an increase in exports after prior stockpiling. That would follow a successful 2017 that saw a 36% improvement in exports to reach 69.1 million tons. A putative trade case by China against U.S. supplies could provide an extra source of demand. China already accounted for 74% of Brazilian exports in 2017 after a 44% rise on a year earlier.
