South Korea’s first export growth year-over-year after 19 month of declines may not prove sustainable. The figures include two extra working days, and are driven by expansion in deliveries of new ships – a troubled industry. What growth there was came from southeast Asia and Japan – exports to China and the U.S. actually fell.
