TTIP “Makes Sense” For Ross, Progress Seems Unlikely in 2017

U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has stated it “makes sense” to continue TTIP trade deal talks with the European Union. That follows hawkish meetings comments from President Donald Trump and EU leaders recently, but is inline with previous comments in meetings between Secretary Ross and Commissioner Malmstrom. A broad deal seems unlikely near term. The most recent official progress report on the deal shows “significant work” remains.
