U.S. car and light truck sales fell 1.7% year over year in April, marking the fourth straight decline. The situation is particularly dire for manufacturers of foreign light trucks which saw an 8.0% year over year decline. There’s also the prospect of further disruptions from the extended Japanese holidays and forthcoming U.S. section 232 duties to contend with.
