Brunswick looks to long-term with Daimler, GM as chips limit Q1 shipping

The Georgia Ports Authority is planning new investments in its roll-on, roll-off ferry capacity at Brunswick as a result of an “upward trend” in volumes that the port expects to continue. There may be short term challenges caused by semiconductor supply chain limitations to U.S. automotive shipments. That can be seen in shipments of cars and light trucks into Brunswick which fell by 11.8% year over year in Q1’21, though shipments of heavy equipment improved by 6.2%.
