The top 20 NVOCCs outperformed the shipping industry more broadly on U.S.-bound shipments in January, Panjiva data shows. They increased volumes 9% on a year earlier vs. 6% for all U.S.-bound shipments. The best performer was CH Robinson’s Christal Lines, which expanded 27%. That suggests the 24% growth seen by CH Robinson in the fourth quarter of 2016 should continue. Deutsche Post DHL’s Danmar saw volumes increase 11% – it had struggled in the third quarter though has yet to report fourth quarter figures.
