Constellation and Heineken Benefit From Mexican Beer Boom, Face NAFTA Risks

Mexican beers were the leading imports to the U.S. in 2017 with a 4% rise in volume terms beating total import growth of 3%. Mexican exports globally have surged ahead, with a 37% rise in dollar terms to reach $3.9 billion in 2017. The industry is highly dependent on the U.S. though, with the U.S. accounting for 83% of exports. Additionally, supplies to other markets are declining including number two destination Australia which fell by 34%.
