U.S. employment in transportation and logistics fell in May for a fourth month as a result of disruptions caused by COVID-19. The downturn was driven by a slump in jobs in air transit which fell by 50,300 sequentially to 383,200 positions. That was equivalent to a 23.4% drop in May after a 24.6% cut in North American airlines’ air freight capacity in April.
