Deutsche Post DHL warns of COVID-19 impact, electronics already sliding

Deutsche Post DHL has warned that the impact of COVID-19 coronavirus disruptions could cut EBIT in February by 60 million and 70 million euros ($66 million to $77 million). That’s equivalent to 1.6% of 2019’s total. The firm has stated it “sees more significant effects for the DHL Express and DHL Global Forwarding divisions, where the business is particularly affected with regards to cross-border trade flows into and out of China” though it has also noted that a “phase of recovering production volumes can also have an offsetting positive effect”.
