DP World experienced a 1.4% fall in volumes handled in 1H16 vs. a year earlier, driven in part by 10.5% drop in Australia / Americas shipments. It still expects increased volumes in 2H and is adding 14.9m TEUs of new capacity. In the three months through July shipments to the U.S. from its Jebel Ali port fell 18%, but is being offset by growth from newly acquired ports, Panjiva data shows.
