U.S. printer imports are in a long term decline with a 3% drop in imports to 526,000 units in October. This follows a 15% slide over the past 12 months in total vs. five years earlier. The pattern likely continued in November, with shipment data showing a further 1% fall. Epson, the largest shipper to the U.S., has bucked the trend with imports in the three months to November rising 18%, while Canon’s increased 29%.
